What “works outside the US” actually means

Systeme.io is headquartered in France, which means it was built with international users in mind from day one. Practical consequences:

  • Customer charging in multiple currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, JPY, BRL, and more. Customers see prices in their local currency where supported.
  • Multilingual customer-facing pages: pages can be served in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, and others.
  • Stripe integration works in all Stripe-supported countries (40+).
  • PayPal integration as an alternative payment processor.
  • GDPR-compliant by default (which is required for EU customers anyway).

Compared to US-centric platforms that bolt on international support, Systeme.io’s defaults are international from the start.

Affiliate program for international affiliates

The Systeme.io affiliate program is one of the more affiliate- friendly in the creator-tools space:

  • 60% recurring commission on every paid plan referred
  • lifetime cookie window (industry-leading; many competitors are 90 or 365 days)
  • Direct program (no ASP intermediary, less revenue-share friction)
  • Payouts via PayPal, work globally

For content operators outside the US, this is genuinely usable — no “US-only payouts” or geographic restrictions.

Limitations to be aware of

A few caveats for international use:

  • English documentation is the most complete. Other language docs exist but lag behind.
  • Some integrations (especially US-only services) may not be available natively, though Zapier or Make can bridge most.
  • Tax handling at checkout supports VAT and basic regional taxes, but complex tax requirements (e.g., specific country invoicing rules) may need a third-party tool.

For most solo founders building a creator business, these are non-issues.

When non-US support actively matters

If your audience is European, Latin American, or Southeast Asian, Systeme.io’s currency and language options are an active advantage over US-default platforms. If your audience is purely US, the international features don’t matter — but they don’t hurt either.
